Lecture & Demo: Understanding Ankle, Foot, and Lower Leg Injuries in Dancers

Join me for an in-depth lecture and movement-based demonstration designed for dancers and instructors looking to better understand common lower leg injuries and how to support recovery safely.

What We’ll Cover:

🔹 Identifying Common Injuries – Sprains, stress fractures, tendonitis, FHL issues, and more

🔹 The Ramp-Up Plan – How to progressively return to dance without setbacks

🔹 Movements to Avoid – Learn which exercises and techniques can hinder healing

🔹 Compensation Patterns – Spotting and correcting movement habits that increase reinjury risk

🔹 Surgical Realities – Understanding procedures like FHL release, bunion corrections, and ankle reconstructions dancers may face

🔹 Injury Prevention Strategies – Practical tools to reduce risk and build resilience in the lower leg

This workshop blends education with movement, giving you actionable tools to help dancers recover safely and return stronger than before.

FREE to all instructor certification plan holders and unlimited membership holders. *All others may join workshop for a recording at $10. Recordings will be sent after workshop has been edited/aired live. Platform members will see this workshop populate in the foot/ankle/pre-pointe course as well as instructor certification platform after edited/recorded.
