STOP gripping in your hips for ballet extensions

Have you ever had a ballet teacher tell you to stop gripping in your hips? Maybe the teacher has told you to stop using your quadriceps during extensions? The gripping in the hips or quadriceps feeling can be very uncomfortable for dancers. It can even limit how high the extensions will reach. However, taking the quadriceps out of the equation to perform directions to any direction just is anatomically impossible.

Watch my below tutorial on how to decrease the dominance with the quadriceps, decrease the gripping feeling in the hips, and improve your extensions technique.

For more guidance on how to improve your extensions, be sure to check out my extensions course on the Veronica K Platform. This will train you to improve mobility, strength, alignment, and flexibility deficits that may be inhibiting extensions.
