About Veronica 

Veronica K is a highly qualified and passionate dance educator dedicated to revolutionizing the approach to ballet. She holds multiple certifications and degrees, showcasing her commitment to excellence in dance and fitness.

 

Veronica has been a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Federation of Professional Trainers since 2019, specializing as a Core, Plyometric, & dance trainer. Recently (2024), she has also become a Certified Myofascial Mobility Coach (Recognized by NASM)

Her educational background includes a Degree in Physical Therapy, qualifying her as a practicing Physical Therapist Assistant. Additionally, Veronica holds a Bachelor's of Art in Dance, reflecting her deep understanding of the art form.

 

With a history as a former professional ballet and jazz dancer, Veronica brings a wealth of practical experience to her teaching and training.

 

Veronica's journey in dance began at the age of 7, encompassing various dance forms such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, tap, and musical theater. Having faced numerous injuries from poorly developed technique, Veronica has set out to integrate cross-training into every dance classroom. She challenges traditional dance practices, firmly believing that ballet should not be painful.

Throughout her career, Veronica has studied the Cecchetti method, classical American Ballet, and the Balanchine method. She received instruction from professionals, including Tamala Taylor, Kara Stewart, Cydney Spohn, Pauline Howe, and Tom Smith. Veronica danced professionally with Carnival Cruise Lines as a Playlist Dancer and performed at prestigious venues like E.J. Thomas Hall in University of Akron's Ballet Company, and Cassidy Theater in musicals.

In addition to her performance career, Veronica has competed in various dance competitions, including Ohio Dance Masters, Nexstar Talent, and Applause Talent. She was a contestant in the Ohio Dance Masters Miss Dance of Ohio Competition and a full scholarship winner at Dancing Wheels Company summer intensive.

 

Veronica has also played a pivotal role in preparing dancers for auditions, choreographing for local musical theater productions, Ballet Wooster story ballets, and Ohio dance competitions.

 

In 2019, Veronica realized her lifelong dream by founding Veronica K Ballet and integrating the form of cross-training.

 

Since 2009, she has been teaching and training dancers, aiming to influence, educate, and inspire individuals of all ages. Veronica is on a mission to eliminate old stigmas surrounding ballet, promoting a healthier and happier approach to dance. With Veronica K Ballet, dancers can expect to dance with extreme strength and beauty while minimizing the risk of chronic injuries or pain.
