About
The Senior Restorative Ballet Program is a specialized program designed for senior dancers aiming to maintain or rekindle their passion for ballet in a safe and supportive environment. This program emphasizes protective and supportive movements, ensuring that participants can enjoy the art of ballet while minimizing the risk of injury. The program incorporates the Veronica K Method™, a comprehensive approach that blends classical ballet techniques with evidence-based exercise practices. This method focuses on therapeutic exercises, myofascial mobility and release techniques, strength and endurance training, balance and muscle energy techniques, progressive resistance and corrective ballet practices, and postural awareness and body alignment. These elements collectively aim to enhance strength, flexibility, and overall well-being, catering specifically to the needs of senior dancers. This program is not a collection of ballet classes rather a supplemental training program for seniors to progress, stay safe, and learn to use their bodies with modifications to continue participating in ballet. Whether you've had a hip replacement, spinal fusion, or arthritis - this program will help guide you to understanding what precautions, modifications, and exercises will help you thrive in the ballet classroom again.
